In fact, Gina’s interest in politics was sparked in part by her mother, Kay, who was active for years in the League of Women Voters and other election campaigns. At 13, Gina started working in her father’s small manufacturing business assembling metal products. Gina also grew up frequently visiting her grandparents’ small farm in Santa Cruz County. Both the business and the farm are gone now, examples of how a changing economy impacts families.
Gina has owned and operated her own public relations firm for 14 years delivering results for local small businesses, nonprofits and public agencies. Gina helped launch the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation by working with the Board of Directors creating a communications plan, mission statement and key messages. Among her other projects was creating a marketing plan and tagline for the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center. She is also a long time environmentalist politically.
