Read moreMiss Aisha Wahab, a young organizer and activist, has been deeply involved in various communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Aisha works tirelessly and often voices her concerns for disenfranchised communities while serving as a commissioner on different county boards, such as Public Health and Human Relations. She also works on different political campaigns, both local and national. Aisha has worked on President Barack Obama’s campaign and many others and also serves as a board member for many different organizations. She has lead different projects, from domestic violence public service announcements to candidate forums that promote community awareness and involvement.
Born in New York City, Aisha was brought up in the S.F. Bay Area with strong American values of hard work, persistence, freedom, equality, education, and creativity. Aisha has a deep appreciation for all the freedoms granted to people in the United States compared to the situation in her ancestral home of Afghanistan. Although Aisha is no stranger to struggle and hardship, she believes the United States provides more opportunities for everyone to move forward than any other country in the world. She works hard to help others understand that through civic engagement every single individual has a voice and can make a difference. She has an outstanding record of public service and leadership while working to promote positive social change in our community.
Aisha has received her B.A. in Political Science and a M.B.A.
