She currently sits on the Executive Board of the San Francisco District PTA as the Legislation Chair, a role which she has revived and made relevant to the San Francisco community. Michelle believes in empowering and educating parents in their role as child advocates.
To that end, she recruits and trains new advocacy leaders in the San Francisco public schools. She is co-founder of the San Francisco Parent Political Action Committee and edMatch, a new organization that challenges San Francisco’s corporate and philanthropic community to match the fundraising already done by parents in SF public schools. Michelle also sits on the Prop A QTEA Oversight Committee for SFUSD and on the California Statewide Pupil Assessment Review Panel.
