In the twelve years her children have attended public school, Lee has been an active parent and volunteer at seven SFUSD schools. She is the current Chair of the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education and a member of the district’s African American Parent Advisory Committee. Lee is a Parent Mentor with Support for Families of Children with Disabilities and and active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakland.
Lee received her Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1998. She spent the majority of her career selling automation products throughout the Bay Area. Last year, she decided to take some time off work to focus on family. That “sabbatical” turned into a career change. She is now taking classes with the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates to become a certified Special Education Advocate and launched her own business, Fisher Education Advocacy and Resources, in the summer of 2017. Lee’s hobbies include reading, running, playing volleyball, and embarrassing her children in public as much as possible.
