She is a Bay Area native with deep roots in the South Bay–growing up in Sunnyvale and now making her home with her husband and two boys in neighboring South Los Altos. Lori believes in the power and promise of public education. A product of local public schools herself, she is committed to ensuring the opportunity for academic excellence for every child. Inquisitive, analytical and a people-person by nature, it was in the science classrooms of her childhood that Lori found her passion. After receiving her Master of Physical Therapy degree, she excelled in the clinic as a practitioner, administrator and clinical educator. Since her oldest child entered school, Lori has transitioned her energy and focus, becoming an active volunteer and parent leader in her school district. In 2017, Lori was honored to receive the Cupertino Educational Endowment Foundation’s Sandy Liu Community Service Award for her commitment to the students. Lori is an avid scuba diver and skier and is her best self when she’s connected to the water, whatever state it happens to be in.
