Julie Diaz Waters is the Western Region Director of State and Local Government Affairs for Marriott International. She is an elected member of the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee and Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party Organizing Committee. Ms. Waters has previously served in legislative roles at AFSCME, AC Transit, the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, the Office of Assemblymember Nancy Skinner and the Office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee. She is a proud graduate of San Diego State University, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Emerge California and in her free-time volunteers as a member of the Alameda Contra Costa Chapter of the Links, Incorporated.
