The historic events of this year have shown us just how much leadership matters. We need leaders in office who know that Black lives matter, science is real, and frontline workers have always been essential. And, the world has finally recognized what we’ve known all along: women know how to lead — especially in crisis.
The way we make change is by electing leaders who have the life experiences that allow them to reimagine and rebuild institutions in a way that have resulted in the inequities we are grappling with today.
This is why we train Democratic self-identified women to run for elected office and WIN. And, this is why we are intentional about recruiting Black women, non-Black women of color, Indigenous women, LGBTQ+ women, and leaders who truly reflect the communities they serve.
Are you ready to lead in elected office and fight for the change we need? Do you feel called to serve? If so, answer the call and apply to the Emerge California Class of 2021!
This year’s Recruitment Tour will be held virtually — all of our one-hour Recruitment Sessions will be conducted via Zoom (link will be provided upon registration). Each recruitment session is themed and will feature Emerge California alumnae who will share their stories and journeys to elected office. You will learn about Emerge California and important information you need to apply, and we will answer any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to meet staff, Emerge California alumnae and fellow interested applicants, so we highly encourage participation via video!
ALL ARE WELCOME! Every themed session is open to all – including those interested in applying for the Class of 2021, those learning about us to apply in the future, and those excited about spending a moment with the Emerge California community!
EMERGE CALIFORNIA ALUMNAE: You are invited and encouraged to attend the recruitment sessions to meet potential applicants! Please DO NOT sign up for a session via the links below. Instead, please find the Zoom links for all Recruitment Sessions on your Alumnae Dashboard. Please email us if you need access to the Dashboard.
CLASS OF 2021 RECRUITMENT OFFICE HOURS: From July 31 – September 11, Class of 2021 Recruitment Office Hours will be held virtually every Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
