I completed a Bachelor’s degree at San Francisco State University in Women’s Studies while working for Progress Foundation and Baker Places to provide quality mental health care to vulnerable populations. I went on the graduate from UC Berkeley with a Master’s in Social Welfare with an emphasis in Community Mental Health. For the last 10 years I have worked in community clinics and my own small business providing counseling to a wide range of individuals and families with an emphasis in serving women and Spanish speakers. In 2014 I had a daughter and began to shift my emphasis toward policies that support my client base including affordable childcare and housing.
I now serve as the Officer-at-Large for the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women, am a member of the Santa Rosa Community Advisory Board and am the incoming Secretary for the Sonoma County League of Women Voters. Additionally, I led the field operations for Julie Combs’ successful re-election campaign to Santa Rosa City Council.
