Read moreTrisha Tahmasbi serves as a field representative for Assemblyman Alberto O. Torrico of the 20th Assembly District, where she coordinates outreach efforts and serves as a liaison between the Assemblymember and the communities he serves. The 20th Assembly District encompasses the East Bay cities of Fremont, Newark, Union City, Milpitas, North San Jose, as well as parts of Hayward and Castro Valley. Trisha’s areas of outreach include K-12 education, housing, business, technology, and women’s issues.Trisha previously worked as a student organizer for the California Faculty Association, organizing students in the California State University system on vital issues affecting higher education including quality, access, and affordability. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Multimedia from California State University, Hayward. Trisha was able to combine her interests in technology and politics with a degree in Multimedia, learning cutting edge ways to deliver her politically driven messages. Her senior multimedia project was a candid documentary entitled, “Democracy or Hypocrisy: A closer look at U.S. Foreign Policy”.Trisha spends much of her spare time working on local Democratic campaigns, and serves on the outreach committee for the Tri-Cities Democratic Club.
