She currently serves on many non-profit boards and commissions including: the FBI San Diego Citizens Academy Alumni Association, Carlsbad Community Foundation, Carlsbad Senior Commission, San Diego County Commission for Women and Girls, and the Rancho Santa Fe Democratic Club. Sheri was also honored to serve her Jewish community as president of Temple Solel, one of the largest synagogues in San Diego County. Ms. Sachs is a state delegate for the California Democratic Party, and serves as an elected member of the San Diego Democratic Central Committee.
Sheri had an impactful career in the non-profit industry as an executive director of Conner’s Cause for Children and The Mark Victor Hanson Foundation (co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul), and a development consultant for the Anthony Robbins Foundation. Ms. Sachs currently serves seniors with their healthcare needs as CEO of Encinitas Internal Medicine. Sheri has a B.S. degree in Psychology from The City University of New York, and will complete her M.L.A. in Government from Harvard University (HES) in 2018. Her service awards include: Channel 10-Leadership Award, United Way-Community Hero Volunteer Award, Microsoft and Points of Light Foundation-National Non-Profit Marketing Award. Sheri has been married to Dr. Bruce J. Sachs for thirty-two years, has two wonderful adult sons, a darling daughter-in-law, and a spectacular grandson.
