She received a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the Politics of Regulation in the Healthcare Industry. She has spent the last eleven years working in the cannabis industry and worked on AB 266 as a cannabis worker consultant, championing workers’ issues and consumer safety. She recently founded Alameda Island Cannabis Community (AICC), a non-partisan community group working to lift the ban on cannabis cultivation and dispensaries and to regulate other cannabis businesses in Alameda. Prior to her work in the cannabis industry, she was a campaign organizer for the Contra Costa Labor Council, ensuring the election of candidates that vote in the best interest of working families.
