Additionally, she is president and CEO of Healthcare Insight, a startup consultancy organization that focuses on issues of healthcare for California. In her more than 20 year nursing career, Sandra has established a strong background of leadership in healthcare, nursing leadership and change implementation. Sandra’s favorite quote on change is “The other side of the ocean is blue. It is the seascape that needs a change. Change it today!”Throughout her career as a nursing executive and leader, she has been a role model and mentor to other nurses and nurse leaders. She has authored articles on nursing leadership and healthcare. She has played an active role on local, state and national healthcare committees. She has lead community health coalitions, teen pregnancy education groups and migrant worker healthcare teams.Sandra served as senior deputy director of patient care services at San Joaquin General Hospital (SJGH) in Stockton, California. She is past president of the Association of California Nurse Leaders, and has chaired the Nursing Administration Council for Northern Central California.
