Read moreAs the daughter of immigrants, Rashi Kesarwani is the beneficiary of a tolerant, big-hearted California. Growing up in Southern California, she was fortunate to attend solid public schools in a safe neighborhood. She is now a Finance Manager for the San Francisco Human Services Agency, where she manages the agency’s $900 million annual operating budget for the provision of public social services to low-income residents. Previously, she worked for the California Legislative Analyst’s Office in Sacramento, where she advised the legislature on health and human services policy and fiscal matters.
A resident of Berkeley, Rashi serves as a Commissioner on the Housing Advisory Commission and the Community Health Commission. She also serves on the board of the East Bay Women’s Political Alliance and the Berkeley Democratic Club. She earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Brown University in 2005 and a master’s in public policy from U.C. Berkeley in 2012.
