During her time at Mills College, she participated in the Civic Leadership Institute and the Ignite Program where she gained an understanding of leadership and skills applicable to civic engagement, leadership and social policy work. Driven by her passion for empowering others to participate in the political process, she co-founded The Northeast Collective, a grassroots organization which works to empower, educate and support historically marginalized groups to increase their civic participation in local politics.
Prior to co-founding The Northeast Collective, Priscilla diligently fought for renters rights and advocated for displaced low-income households through-out District 1. Previously, she served as a Program Manager for an organization in Southern California, where she developed educational workshops and curriculum. During her time there, she led new program initiatives and served as Employee Relations Chair. Committed to empowering communities, she volunteered as a fund developer for several nonprofits including the Global Water Brigades Project, and Casa de Las Amiga’s a women’s alcohol and drug rehabilitation program in Pasadena, California. During these experiences, she further developed a passion for civic leadership and social responsibility to her community.
