Read moreSince Neysa was a little girl, she has been elected or selected to hold leadership positions and she has always found the experience rewarding. Neysa is currently the Vice-Chair of the City of Los Altos City Council Grant Writing Committee. She was elected Vice-President of her San Francisco Neighborhood Association and organized the neighborhood’s first Halloween event. Neysa also started the San Francisco for Hillary Group during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign. In 2007, she was selected to participate in the County of Santa Clara County Counsel Leadership Program and was elected to be a delegate for Wesley Clark in 2004. Neysa also believes in giving back to her community in whatever capacity and is always seeking volunteer opportunities. In January 2011, she started and continues to coordinate a year round volunteer community service project in her office. Neysa also enjoys providing pro bono legal representation, including her successful representation of a tenant in unlawful detainer action.She is a Deputy County Counsel for the County of Santa Clara where she handles litigation, advice and transactional matters on behalf of County entities, officials and employees. As Deputy County Counsel, Neysa also handles civil code enforcement matters on behalf of the County and she especially enjoys this assignment because it gives her an opportunity to work and interact with people in the community.Neysa received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, from Florida International University. She is originally from Jamaica. Neysa is married and has a very active son.
