Leah Cox, Executive Director of the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness since 2005, envisions California as a state where healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity are the obvious and natural choice in all communities across the state.
Leah has written and edited several articles and training materials focused on youth and adult health and wellness, with a particular emphasis on obesity prevention. For the past eight years Leah has created and implemented educational and interactive wellness projects with youth and schools, as well as trained and consulted with more than 300 businesses across California regarding their employee wellness programs.
She is the former program director for the Youth Action League and the Statewide Youth Board on Obesity Prevention. In her previous career, Leah taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade middle school students in both Sacramento and Vista, CA. She is also an avid runner, cyclist and swimmer and mother to three beautiful girls.
