Dixon currently works as a Strategic Program and Financial Management Consultant serving the needs of nonprofit organizations and Small Businesses in Southern California, and most recently she served as the Controller for Chinatown Service Center. With over eight years of professional experience working within the nonprofit industry, and over twenty years of experience serving the communities where she has lived and worked; Kristina has a standing commitment to improving the overall economic and social well-being of underserved communities through quality education for children, community and economic development, the eradication of homelessness, health care reform, and diversity as well as inclusion in work places, board rooms and elected offices. Kristina has a B.A. in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley, a dual M.B.A. in Finance and Management & Leadership from the University of La Verne and a Professional Award in Accounting for Government and Nonprofit Organizations from UC Riverside Extension. She is a delegate to the California Democratic Party, where she serves as the Legislative Chair of the Women’s Caucus Executive Board. Kristina was recently re-appointed to the State of California Board of Podiatric Medicine by Speaker John A. Perez, where she currently serves as the President. She also serves as the Chair of the Library Commission for the City of Moreno Valley. Kristina currently serves as the Financial Secretary for the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute, the VP of Finance and Administration of NWPC LA Metro Chapter and has also served as the Secretary of the Los Angeles Black MBA Association, as Chair of the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals- Civic Engagement and Political Awareness Committee, and as the PAC and WLF Treasurer as well as V.P. of Education and Training on the NWPC CA Board of Directors. Kristina is a graduate of the Emerge CA Program, where she was the first woman from Southern California to attend the training. She is also a graduate of the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute and the CA Legislative Caucus, Project BUILD.
