Read moreKat is Administrative Officer of the Pacific Media Workers Guild, the first lawyer in that position. She founded Bay News Rising, a mentorship program for college journalism students. She is a 27-year resident of The City with a political science degree from Stanford and a law degree from U.C. Hastings College of the Law. She has worked in private practice for most of her legal career, specializing in labor and employment litigation. She has served on several community boards, including the Foundation of City College of San Francisco and the Women’s Leadership Council of United Way of the Bay Area. Kat is Recording Secretary for the Democratic County Central Committee, to which she was elected in 2012 in AD 19. She had previously run for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. She is a member of the board of the City Democratic Club. Kat has been a Democrat since she could first register to vote. She is honored to have grown up in Little Rock, Arkansas where she babysat Chelsea Clinton.
