Having joined Audubon in 2011, Gaylon leads Audubon California’s management team toward fulfilling the mission of bringing people together to protect and appreciate birds and the outdoors. Gaylon sponsors Audubon California’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, helping ensure that our conservation, policy, and engagement work reaches the broadest possible audience. Prior to joining Audubon, she served as director of evaluation and development for a youth-serving community-based organization in Oakland and served as a program evaluation consultant for eight years with LFA Group. Gaylon has a B.A. in English Language and Literatures from the University of Virginia and her Certificate in Advanced Studies in Evaluation from the Claremont Graduate University.
Gaylon is an active community volunteer, currently serving as treasurer for Bay Area Girls Rock Camp and as vestry member for her faith community. She is a past PTSA president and treasurer. Gaylon and her two daughters explore our state and national parks at every opportunity.
