I have experienced firsthand the dangers of a countryside wrought with civil strife, the struggles of immigrant families, both documented and undocumented, and the vast and varied opportunities of a capitalistic and democratic society.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Finance, a minor in business administration, and an Associates Degree in Political Science as well as industry specific certifications and licenses. I’ve worked in the real estate industry for almost fifteen years with volunteer time spent mostly in areas related to my children’s public school education.
I have traveled to Latin America, Japan, and Europe. I have studied the plights of Romani, Eastern European, and some African peoples. I also believe in being familiar with my country of birth and have driven across the United States a few times spending time in the lesser known areas. I credit my adventurous parents for this love of learning about the world.
I am currently a board member of the Democratic Women of Monterey County and District 4 Representative for the Monterey County Democratic Central Committee. My objective is to lead the next generation of Democratic leaders in my local and global community.
I have a deep cultural appreciation for all people, regardless of income, social status, or education level.
