I know that it was their union wages and benefits that allowed us to move up and get out of public housing. I have a strong belief, born of my personal experience, that when government gives a helping hand people’s lives are improved and they become productive, tax paying citizens who contribute to our society.
For most of my working career I have been involved with a union in the workplace. I started doing technical work in television in 1980 and helped organize my first TV Station. My strong belief in the uplifting power of union membership has led me to my current position as Business Manager of IBEW Local 45. I am very interested in worker’s rights and for democracy in the workplace and so I have always voted for progressive Democrats.
