Having grown up in the military watching her Marine Corps parents serve their country selflessly, Ecaterina has dedicated herself to serving her community in the nonprofit sector. In the past few years, she has been a part of multiple coalitions to advance and advocate for progressive policies to address poverty and hunger at the local to the federal level. Outside of her nonprofit work, she volunteers with other movement building organizations such as Oakland Rising and the Ella Baker Center to empower everyday citizens to participate in and lead the policy-making process. She is a proud graduate of the SF New Leaders Council and Urban Habitat’s Boards and Commission Leadership Institute.
