She recently stepped down as CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), an organization she co-founded in 1993. She now serves as the Co-Chair of the National Board. FWE is the premier entrepreneurial organization for women building and leading high-growth technology and life science companies. In the last three years, FWE accelerated the development of their over 1,500 member companies and helped raise over $1.1 billion in venture funding for women entrepreneurs.Prior to joining FWE full time, Denise held a variety of management positions in high-tech marketing and product management, including stints at Motorola, Kensington and Broderbund Software. In 2001, Denise was honored by the San Jose-based Women’s Fund as one of their 2001 Women of Achievement and by the SF Business Times with a Women in Leadership Award. In 2000, Denise was honored as one of the “Top 25 Women on the Web – Leaders of the Millennium” by San Francisco Women on the Web.Denise completed her MBA at Stanford University and did her undergraduate work at Wellesley College. She serves on the National Board of Springboard Enterprises and the Advisory Board of the Women’s Technology Cluster incubator and several local start-up companies.
