Dee is seeking to reinvest money spent on incarceration to address the underlying conditions of income inequality, drug and mental health needs, and jobs that provide a living wage. She also tutors elementary children through United Way/AARP Experience Corps and believes that quality education is foundational to reducing incarceration.
