In 2002, she graduated with College Honors and a BFA American Studies and Communication and Rhetoric from UC Santa Cruz. After a decade of working in local government and non-profit organizations, she acted on her ambition to be do-gooder/designer by going to art school instead of an MBA program. In 2012, she earned a BFA in Graphic Design with High Distinction from California College of the Arts.
She credits growing up in an immigrant family in the foggy part of San Francisco for helping her develop an active imagination and an appreciation for culture. These days, you can find her working in the Creative Studio at the California Academy of Sciences, wearing stripes, and on the hunt for the next best bowl of noodles.
