Born and raised in Napa County, Belia is a small business owner, attorney and community activist who is dedicated to making Napa County a great place to live, work and raise a family.
On the City Council, Belia has played an intregal role on issues such as budget, public safety, traffic and transportation, public education, watershed conservation and the arts. She is the incorporator and board member of the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation, American Canyon High School Alliance, Napa Valley Canine Foundation and Napa Valley Crime Stoppers. In 2012, Belia was appointed by Governor Brown to the 25th Agricultural District Board (Napa Town and Country Fair).
She is also an active community volunteer, providing her time and legal skills to a number of local non-profits and issue campaigns.
Belia is the President of Raise the Bar, LLC (a bar exam preparation company) and a Visiting Lecturer of Law at UC Davis School of Law. Prior to embracing her entrepreneurial spirit, she practiced law in the area of Employment Counseling and Litigation and has worked as an aide to Congressman Mike Thompson.
After attending St. Mary’s College and UC Hastings College of the Law, Belia returned to American Canyon to continue her commitment to public service and currently resides there with her family.
