Read moreI am a Homecare Provider by trade and a Union activist/organizer by accident! I am a mother of 5 one of whom has Severe Autism and 7 grandchildren. I have a background in Life/Disability Insurance Sales, but became a provider for my son which lead me to getting involved with my Union. From which at the time I had no idea that it would send me on a whole other journey into politics. I never imagined being able to speak in front of people, or lobbying legislatures or becoming a leader and mentor to others. But that is what I do on a daily basis, I currently technically work four jobs, I have two clients I provide care for, I am the District Vice President in Stanislaus County for UDWA/AFSCME3930, and the Executive Sec./Treas. of the Stanislaus & Tuolumne Co. Central Labor Council, among the other many hats I wear, such as PTO Pres., CA ADEM21 Executive Board member, and AFSCME International Women’s Advisory Committee member, & a AFSCME Women’s Leadership Academy Mentor.
