She graduated from Yale College and Boalt Hall, and served as a law clerk on the United States District Court in Boston. Prior to entering law practice, Professor Pletcher was an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase. She founded the American Constitution Society’s Constitution in the Classroom program in the Bay Area to bring volunteer lawyers into schools to teach lessons on the United States Constitution. She currently serves as Chair of the Marin County Women’s Commission, served on the PTA board of her local public elementary school, and has coached girls softball and soccer teams.
