Read moreAnn grew up in Millbrae graduating from local schools and UCLA after studying in Italy. She swam for UCLA Women’s Intercollegiate Swim Team, coached local swimmers and ran corporate sports programs while at Hewlett Packard. She works in the Zero Waste field creating and implementing recycling programs and growing green businesses throughout California. She is a long time Sierra Club leader for political action & recycling and advises the kids of the Sierra Student Coalition at Mills High School. Ann is an active member of the Millbrae Lion’s Club & Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), is a Red Cross Disaster Volunteer, and serves on the Board of Millbrae Community Television, a public access TV and On Demand station. Ann is running for Millbrae City Council in 2015. Her platform is to change Millbrae’s approach to economic development to become more business friendly to attract more businesses and develop landmark transit oriented developments at the Millbrae Multimodal Transit Station. Other priorities include: developing affordable housing; affordable infrastructure upgrades; programs that will allow seniors to safely stay in their homes; street safety; and, programs to bring Millbrae’s diverse community together. Succeeding in that she will work to reduce Millbrae’s climate footprint and prepare the City for sea level rise and swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
