Read moreAnn Grabowski currently serves on the Santa Clara County Domestic Violence Council, advocating for victim centered, trauma informed policy and procedural changes to our service delivery systems. Ann is the immediate past Chair of the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women, former Vice President of Political Action for the Democratic Activists for Women Now, and currently serves as the Director of Programming and Education of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Silicon Valley. Additionally, she manages leadership and education programming and chairs the advisory board for the women of Kappa Delta Sorority at San Jose State University.
Ann works as a Policy Analyst for San Jose Councilmember Donald Rocha in the areas of Housing, Health, Violence against women and public safety, Finance, Libraries and Neighborhood Services, Organizational Management, and Senior Services. While working with for Councilmember Rocha, Ann has provided key support to the successful implementation of policy and procedural changes to City policy in areas directly benefiting women such as strengthening the City’s Living Wage policy, human trafficking, language access protocols within the Police Department, domestic violence and is working on creating a paid parental leave benefit for City employees and strengthening affordable housing policies.
Ann graduated with her Masters of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco in 2012, with honors. She grew up in rural Fresno County and has a passion for social justice and working to end cyclical poverty, domestic and sexual violence and chronic homelessness through thoughtful policy solutions.
