Her first job after college was on Capitol Hill as a junior analyst with the United States Senate Budget Committee. After business school, she worked at Hewlett-Packard for seven years in finance, sales, and operations. As a full time mom, she led a $76 million bond for Palo Alto libraries and was the President of the Palo Alto Library Foundation, which raised $4 million in private funding. Alison then worked at Google for almost five years, first in communications roles and then as the head of the online support content team.
Alison holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from Stanford University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She volunteers as a Role Model with Ten Books a Home in East Palo Alto, writes occasional posts on Medium, and sings alto in a community choir. Alison and her husband have two children and live in Palo Alto.
